    A live map of what the world's newsrooms and hazard feeds are reporting. News from 27 outlets and GDELT is grouped into stories (one event, many outlets). Each country gets a stress index, 0–100, from the stories naming it, natural hazards near it and its stock market. It counts coverage. It is not a forecast.

    Getting around

    Jump (⌘K or /) finds any country, region, layer, preset or action. The region chips on the map fly there and narrow the stories and the index to that region. Click a country for its panel: score, 7-day trend, hazards and stories. ★ a country to watch it: it stays at the top of the index, and with Alerts on you hear when it moves or a big story breaks.

    The slider under the map replays the last 72 hours. Drag it, or press ▶. Stories, hotspots, hazards and the index all rewind with it.
